Graystone HOA Meeting
November 7th, 2002
Keith Gooch called for old business.
Scott Finley reported on costs to fix clock tower. His findings are attached.
Kenneth Baker made a motion to have Lindsay Perkins replace east clock with a Graystone medallion and save old clock. The HOA will then maintain the west clock and Scott will add a battery with surge protector. Mr. Lattian seconded the motion. All homeowners present approved the motion (22 votes).
Scott Finley now has the key to the clock tower and will adjust the time on the west clock as needed. He will also fix the door to the clock tower that is currently open.
Discussion was held about the boxwoods around the clock tower. The general opinion was that the boxwoods are looking better, so we will not replace them at the present time.
The Landscape Committee was organized. Members are: Richard Heiser, Denni Gresham, Barbara Owens the The Sanders. One of the members will contact the company maintain our landscaping and instruct them to pull boxwoods from the center of the clock tower and move them to the sidewalk area as needed. Mark Newton will get the name and number of our landscape crew to Richard Heiser.
Mark Newton gave a treasurer’s report. Current dues are $160 (every 6 months). The hope is that when we are sold out (165 lots) the dues can go down to $200 per household. The dues are being lowered because the lower water costs when some leaks were fixed in the sprinkler system, and our electric bill went down when the city of Bixby took over the street lights.
John Owens asked if the HOW was paying sewer costs with our water bill. Mark checked, and we are not.
Frank King reported his discussions with the Bixby Police Chief. The city of Bixby will provide signs about “children at play” for us if we ask. Keith will draft a letter asking for 4 signs to be placed in common areas. Frank also will write a letter to appear in an upcoming newsletter reminding home owners of the traffic concerns and speed limit violations happening in the neighborhood. There is great concern by many in attendance of the fast drivers on 115th St. around the clock tower, and 66th E Ave. around to 116th St.
The Architectural Committee was formalized. Members are Richard Heiser, Dave Sanders and Larry Tucker and/or Chuck Case. Keith will visit with this group to decide how to handle violations in the covenants.
Keith asked that the covenants appear in an upcoming newsletter. Lee Ann will forward them to Anthony Schroeder. We may just photo copy them and hand out with the next newsletter.
Bo Moffat asked that information be put in the newsletter about the Bixby leash law. Lee Ann will call Bo and ask him to call Bixby Animal Control and find out what the ordinance is and forward it to Lee Ann so she can get that information to Anthony.
The Jannes, Kings and Moffats did not get a new directory. Al Newton will get one to them.
Carson Jackson is building in Windsor Park and asked to be included on the newsletter mailing list.
The social committee reported that 100-150 people attended the Halloween Party.
They are also working on starting a book club and dinner club. The Christmas Progressive Party is scheduled for December 13, but to date we only have one house. The party may be cancelled or postponed if no volunteers are found.
The Christmas lights will be installed in the next week.
Venesa Gooch will make arrangements to have an electrician add electrical outlets to the front of the subdivision.
Lee Ann Fiser informed Devonshire residents that they can get a controller for the gate from Lindsay Perkins office for $50.
Meeting concluded at 8:05pm.
